Tiziana Carraro graduated in piano and opera singing. She made her debut at the Festival della Valle d’Itria of Martina Franca in 1991 in the role of Aquilio in Farnace by Vivaldi, and was very successful with the public and the critics and she returned several times to sing at the same festival.

In 1994 she won a young opera singer competition by “Amici del Loggione del Teatro Alla Scala”, and also the AsLiCo competition that allowed her to make her debut in the title role of La Diavolessa by Galuppi.

She performed in major Italian and International theatres such as : Athens, Avenches, Barcelona, Berlin, Bratislava, Bucarest, Budapest, Hamburg, Hong Kong, London, Macerata, Modena, Montecarlo, Moscow, Munich, Naples, New York, Parma, Piacenza, Pisa, Ravenna, Reutlingen, Rovigo, Seoul, Tel Aviv, Tokyo, Torre del Lago, Treviso, Venice, Verona and Washington.

Ms. Carraro repertoire include main roles for mezzosoprano such as : Amneris in Aida, Azucena in Trovatore, Eboli in Don Carlo, Fenena in Nabucco, Preziosilla in La Forza del Destino, Maddalena in Rigoletto, Emilia in Otello, Quickly in Falstaff, Federica in Luisa Miler, Zaida in Turco in Italia, Tisbe in Cenerentola, Adalgisa in Norma, Elena in Mefistofele, Fidalma in Matrimonio Segreto, Fulvia in Pietra del Paragone, Suzuki in Madama Butterfly, Carmen in Carmen, Laura in Gioconda, Principessa Bouillon in Adriana Lecouvreur, Beppe in Amico Fritz, Felicia in Crociato in Egitto, Ozias in Juditha Triumphans and Albine in Thais.

She often sings religious music, such as the Requiems by Mozart and Verdi, the IX Symphony by Beethoven, Stabat Mater by Pergolesi and Rossini, Dies Iste and Risurrezione di Lazzaro by Perosi and Resurrexi by Colla.

Some of the conductors the Ms. Carraro has worked with are : Bruno Aprea, Bruno Campanella, Angelo Campori, Frédérich Chaslin, Massimo De Bernard, Alessandro De Marchi, Asha Fisch, Romano Gandolfi, Lü Ja, Julian Kovacev, Gustav Kuhn, Alain Lombard, Fabio Luisi, Steven Mercurio, Daniel Oren, Carlo Palleschi, Antonio Pirolli, Stefano Ranzani, Donato Renzetti, Marcello Rota, Corrado Rovaris, Massimiliano Stefanelli, Roberto Tolomelli, Emmanuel Villaume, Marcello Viotti, Ralf Weikert and Alberto Zedda.

Tiziana Carraro performed under the guidance of directors such as : Daniele Abbado, Elisabetta Brusa, Enrico Castiglione, Giancarlo Cobelli, Hugo De Ana, Beppe De Tommasi, Massimo Gasparon, Jean Louis Grindà, Gino Landi, Pier Francesco Maestrini, Lorenzo Mariani, Cristina Mazzavillani Muti, Pier Luigi Pizzi, Federico Tiezzi and Franco Zeffirelli.

She can be watched on DVDs such as : I Vespri Siciliani, La Forza del Destino, Thais, Les Contes d'Hoffmann and Le Nozze di Figaro. For Nuova Era she recorded the CD of Farnace by Antonio Vivaldi, for OPUS 111 Juditha Triumphans by Antonio Vivaldi, for Bongiovanni La Pietra del Paragone by Gioacchino Rossini and for Dynamic La Forza del Destino by Giuseppe Verdi.
